Skitour

zackige Touren.

Hi Benedikt, I only called you Herr Meier because my parents told me it is polite to always call those older than me by those names unless given permission by them.
In reply to downloading this thing for you to be able to communicate with Sarah via the computer, I asked my father and he said that my sister Rebekah has tried it and it took up too much memory and interferred with our computer internet connection. We have a plan called “Broad Band” that we use and only has a limited space for downloads. We do have a computer microphone however but not a webcam, something we do have is “MSN”, you may have heard of it, we can talk to you through microphone using that. I think you go to www.hotmail.com
P.S Did my e-mail, written in Swiss German make sense to you? I used sarah’s dictionary.

Dear Judith
. A lot of work for nothing. A webcam ist not needed (otherwise I would have to come my hair
), a microphone ist ok. Did I understand you right: you have a restricted download rate, for example 50 MB per month? Or would there be to much traffic by talking with Skype or MSN? The download of skype 2.0 is 9.5 MB and its a new version.
).
Ok, I see, I don’t want to cause problems with your computer. I know quite well, what happens, when the computer crashes
I guess, your computer is not fast enough and/or has not enough memory. Can you give me some technical details as processor (800 MHz), RAM (128MB)? We have here some firewalls to get in the internet, so we can’t use MSN (This program is not intelligent enough
But if it works not with skype, it is not realy a problem, it is not so expensiv to talk to NZ by phone - Sarah payed it for the last few times

Dear Benedikt, 9.5 MB is not too much to download but i talked to my father again and he said that the program “SKYPE” is what my sister had used one time and it was the use of it, not the downloading of the system that created the hazard. We do have an allocated memory from the company. We were exceeding the memory allocation by my sister talking, using the microphone on this system.
The technical information i have found is: Pentium 4 CPU 2.00GHz, 1.99 GHz, 512 MB of RAM.
I hope you understand this information, i certainly don’t but i have taken it from the computer system.
Perhaps you could talk sometimes on the microphone and sometimes on the phone, i think it was the regular use of the system that caused problems.
